KidsClick is a combination web guide search engine for children.  Non-friendly sites are filtered out plus it points kids in the right direction.

Alfy is a new web portal, targeted especially for children ages 3 to 10.  Alfy offers the entire index portal graphically with a text option for the seventeen topics defined at the first level.

The Awesome Library contains 14,000 carefully reviewed resources, including the top 5 percent in education.  Sites are categorized by user and subject.

Kids' Almanac allows students fo enter a query or use the handy index.  You will find word of the day, this day in history and see what famous people were born on this day.  Homework Central is especially helpful.

Searchopolis offers quick finds through searchable categories as well as a keyword search.  You can click "Today" to find links that relate to this day in history.

Ask Jeeves allows kids to ask complete questions using plain English.  It presents a list of matching questions from which the user selects the closest match.  Then the user is pointed to the web site for answers.

Dr.Math is a question and answer service for K-12 math students.  It is a searchable archive available by level or by topic.  An FAQ links provides added answers.

Encarta (R)

Encarta Concise Free Encyclopedia has brief articles with pictures.  There are links to other sites and suggestions are given for future searching.

This online free encyclopedia provides more than 14,000 articles that are short and concise.  A search can be conducted using keywords or a letter can be selected to locate the appropriate article.

Meriam Webster is a user friendly dictionary.   Other features such as word of the day and word game of the day are extra added features.

One of the Internet's largest study collections.  This site is broken into elementary, secondary and college and beyond.
